How To Make A Wax Seal
Wax seals are fun and easy to make!
Materials: Brass Wax Seal Stamp, Sealing Wax, Low Temperature Glue Gun OR Melting Kit
If using Glue Gun
- Insert Sealing wax into Glue Gun, and allow 5-7 minutes to melt
- Squeeze trigger to dispense a 25mm circle of sealing wax on your surface
- Lightly press Wax Stamp into sealing wax and allow 10-15 seconds to cool
- Gently peel Wax Stamp from sealing wax, if sticking occurs give more time to cool
If using Melting Kit
- Cut each stick up into 8 even segments – 1x segment of wax will be enough for 1x seal
- Place wax segment in melting spoon and hold over a tealight candle
- Heat until a thick runny consistency then pour onto your surface
- Lightly press Wax Stamp into sealing wax and allow 5-10 seconds to cool
- Gently peel Wax Stamp from sealing wax, if sticking occurs give more time to cool
We recommend chilling your stamp on a bag of ice, or an ice pack, between sealing.
